Dr. Kevin Parkinson is a board certified ophthalmologist focusing on restoring vision for those people suffering from cataracts and glaucoma. He currently practices at Ridge Meadows Hospital and the Coquitlam Cataract Centre where he performs over 1,000 surgeries annually. For over 13 years Dr. Parkinson has been involved in the growth and development of the ophthalmology department at the hospital performing well over 10,000 surgical procedures.

Dr. Kevin Parkinson grew up in the Coquitlam area, attending and graduating from Centennial Secondary in 1983. This was followed by an undergraduate degree in Kinesiology from Simon Fraser University. His Medical Degree was then earned from the University of British Columbia. Kevin then interned at Royal Columbian Hospital in 1990 before practicing for 2 years as a Family Physician. In 1993 he fulfilled a life long dream by embarking on an Ophthalmology Residency at the University of Western Ontario. His formal training was then capped by a one year fellowship at the University of Florida in 1996. He was admitted into the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons in 1997.

Today, Dr. Parkinson continues to practice advanced microincisional cataract surgery at Maple Ridge Hospital and is building strong and enduring ophthalmology practice focused on providing state of the art high quality care to the citizens of Greater Vancouver and beyond.
