Dr. David Nelson brings over 30 years of clinical practice experience in Ophthalmology to the Coquitlam office. Since 1977 he has enjoyed a thriving practice in Langley. Dr. Nelson is fellowship trained in Neuro-Ophthalmology and focuses much of his practice time on the medical and laser treatment of glaucoma. He enjoys seeing all types of patients who invariably benefit from his wealth of experience in Medical Ophthalmology.

David completed his medical school training at the University of British Columbia. Following a rotating internship at St.Paul’s Hospital in Vancouver he practiced as a family physician for 3 years in Trail. His ophthalmology residency was then completed at the University of British Columbia. Dr. Nelson’s formal training was then capped off at the Montreal Neurological Hospital and Institute where he completed a fellowship in Neuro–Ophthalmology.

Dr. Nelson resides in Coquitlam and practices part time in the Austin Ave location.
